I am listening to an episode of 'FRIENDS' as I type up this blog post and yes I know it is in a video format but I have watched it so much that I don't need the visual aid to enjoy it, weirdo alert :)

These pictures were taken this past Sunday. They were intended for another concept that wasn't captured here probably because we were sorta in a rush but no biggie, I will introduce the concept another time. I hope you like this look nevertheless, It is perfect for a casual Sunday to visit some friends or casually hang out or maybe receive some visitors at home, I think it is chic and casual. I'd probably wear this with a simple sandals especially if I am visiting friends but this works too. Don't you agree?

Apologies you guys, I know some of you are expecting the Yoruba or Hausa post previewed from this post but those pictures are not edited yet (long story) but as soon as they are I will post them here. I am learning how to edit pictures so I guess that won't be an excuse in the nearest future.

IGBO AMAKA

Hey lovelies!! I have missed you guys so much. How are you? I am tempted to say 'Happy New Month' but its the 13th day of the month of October, Where is this month running to eh?
Here is that post I promised you from here, remember?? I know it is long over due and I do have quite a good reason for not posting earlier but lets forget all that, its here now, Okay?! :D
I have been thinking of what to write regarding this post (and the others too i.e. Yoruba and Hausa). I decided to go with little details of my outfit as regards to the ethnic group and my favourite food from that culture.
This is the usual attire of an Igbo woman, although it can change depending on what part  of the Igbo tradition she decides to go with but mostly you would see an Igbo woman dressed in a gorgeous lace top and two (gorge) wrappers, accessorised with mostly gold necklace and earrings and Igbo beads. (if at any point you want to be\dress like an Igbo lady just refer back to this blog ehear )lol.

My favourite Igbo food hands down has to be ofe onugbu aka Bitterleaf soup, (forget the name and give this a try). Btw if you decide to try out the recipe please incorporate fresh fish in to the recipe. Heavens!! I also really like equsi soup, although I am not sure if  it is purely an Igbo food.
That is a wrap ladies and gentlemen, Thank you so much for reading. God bless you.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIA #55

Excuse me biko, (biko is please in Igbo language) it is still 1st of October in some countries. :D

So Happy Independence Day!! And Happy New Month guysss!! What is the plan for this month? This is the final quarter of year, so it is time to review all your plans for the year. Remember this post about how to get what you want I made here, now is also a good time to put it into practice, don't you think??

So what we are celebrating (in Nigeria)? Someone asked on Facebook. My response was; Life and Hope. I know everything isn't the way we want it to be in our own different way, but isn't that the same with life but we are thankful and hopefully each day. And as my friend, Stephanie, would say, What would YOU do for Nigeria? God is with us. God bless Nigeria.

For this independence day outfit shoot. I decided to pair my white shorts with this green floral-ish shirt and accessorised with some green balloons and this green and white umbrella. Repping Nigeria well, yes?? And as you can tell, this was a playful shoot. lol.
P.S. If you follow me on Facebook and Instagram you have seen a preview picture of me dressed in the three dominant ethnic groups in Nigeria, that is Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. There is going to be a full blog post on each of the look. Please stay tuned!!!!

Thank you so much for reading. Have a beautiful month and Remember To Always Pray For Nigeria.
Happy 55th Birthday Nigeria(ns) and God bless you.
"Oh God of creation, direct our noble cause. Guide our leaders right. Help our youth the truth to know.
In love and honesty to grow. And living just and true Great lofty heights attain.
